About

A small studio that does the work it reports on

tr3labs is a focused security-testing practice. The people who scope an engagement are the people who perform it and who explain the results.

We are developers too. The same people who test your systems build and ship production software, so findings arrive as concrete changes your development team can apply, and we can work alongside your engineers on the fixes when that helps.

tr3labs exists because most teams do not need a huge consultancy. They need someone technical to look carefully at their application, API or cloud environment, find what is actually exploitable, and explain it in a way engineers can act on the same week.

tr3labs is the security research and assessment studio of VaultFifty1, a security-first engineering partner founded in 2024. VaultFifty1 builds and hardens software; tr3labs tests it, for VaultFifty1 clients and independently. Keeping the testing practice distinct keeps the assessment honest: we report what we find, whoever built it.

We keep claims on this site verifiable. You will not find invented statistics, borrowed certification badges or stock client logos here. When we publish research, it will be real write-ups of real work, and the Research section will appear when that content exists.

The founder

Who runs tr3labs

tr3labs is founder-led. The founder sets the technical direction, guides the team, and signs off on critical architecture and security decisions, while a skilled team handles the day-to-day execution.

When an engagement requires expertise beyond the core team, the founder brings in trusted specialists to guide the team, ensuring every system is tested by the right experts and the findings are explained in a way developers can understand and turn into concrete, reproducible changes.

The founder's identity is kept private by design, reflecting the same level of discretion and confidentiality we apply to the sensitive systems and information we are trusted with.
